Welcome to the PickLayer Builder documentation.

Overview

PickLayer is a fully managed backend for AI applications. We provide:

• Single OpenAI/OpenRouter surface: Every AI endpoint mirrors the OpenAI v1/* contract.
• Provider API Keys: Securely manage upstream credentials.
• Pending usage lifecycle: Real-time token/cost estimates.
• Regulatory Compliance: BAAs, EU servers.

Getting Started

The fastest builder setup path is:

1. Read API Keys to create an sk_* key and exchange it for an org token.
2. Use Management API to create/select your app and configure applications, application_settings, and application_runtime_configs.
3. Use Prompts if you want reusable stored prompt endpoints, or call Responses API directly for the full raw tool-capable surface.

If you are starting from scratch, begin with Authentication and then move to Management API.
